Position: Barista/Front Counter/Food

Pay is dependent on availability and experience. This position also pays tip!

Jabbers is a 5,000 sq/ft indoor play facility in Nampa, ID. We are a place for families to come relax while little ones play. Our job is to provide a warm and supportive environment, and some delicious food and coffee, while they enjoy a break. Our weekends are very busy with birthday parties and events and are a terrific opportunity for generous tips! We do our best to have fun in a sometimes crazy environment and are looking for some teammates to join our energetic team.

Day Shift
We are looking for someone with full-day availability at least 3 days a week Mon-Fri, and full day availability on the weekends. The position is 15-20 hours per week until November, in which hours increase to 20-28 hours per week.

Evening Shift
We are looking for someone with afternoon to evening availability at least 3 to 5 days a week (3:30pm to 7:30pm, 9:30pm on some weekends) and 1 full day availability on the weekends. The position is 20-25 hours per week.

Responsibilities
Greet and check in customers
Take food orders and keep food stocked
Make espresso coffees and fulfill deli food orders
Keep facility tidy and complete daily chores
Sell Memberships
Prep and host birthday parties
Must be able to lift 35- 50lbs
No physical restrictions

Daycare Lead

Note: Position begins in early January, exact date TBD

Jabbers Indoor Play Place & Daycare is seeking a compassionate and experienced Daycare Lead to oversee daily operations, plan engaging activities, and create a safe, nurturing environment for all children in our care. The Daycare Lead/Co-Lead will manage a small team, coordinate daily activities, and work closely with parents to provide a positive and supportive daycare experience.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the daycare
Plan and implement age-appropriate daily activities and play experiences that encourage learning, creativity, and social development
Supervise and lead daycare staff, ensuring adherence to safety and childcare standards
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment for children, staff, and parents
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing clear communication about children’s activities, progress, and any concerns
Ensure compliance with daycare regulations, licensing requirements, and health and safety standards
Manage check-in and check-out processes to ensure a secure transition for children
Keep organized records of attendance, incidents, and other relevant documentation
Handle emergencies calmly and effectively, following all established safety procedures
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a daycare, early childhood education, or similar childcare setting, with at least one year in a leadership role preferred
Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education practices
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Ability to create a warm and structured environment while planning fun, enriching activities for children
Familiarity with daycare licensing regulations and safety guidelines
Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and engage in active play with children

Daycare Assistant

Jabbers Indoor Play Place & Daycare is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Daycare Assistant to join our team! The Daycare Assistant will support the Daycare Lead in providing a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children, helping with daily activities, supervising playtime, and assisting with day-to-day operations. If you have a passion for working with children and enjoy fostering a positive, nurturing atmosphere, this could be the perfect position for you.

Full or part time positions available.

Responsibilities:

Assist with supervising and engaging children during play and learning activities
Help plan and set up daily activities, crafts, and games to support children’s growth and development
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment by assisting with daily cleaning and organizing tasks
Support children with their basic needs, such as snacks, rest time, and transitions between activities
Communicate positively and effectively with children, parents, and team members
Assist in following daycare policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Help with check-in and check-out procedures to ensure children’s safety and smooth transitions
Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children in a daycare, school, or similar setting is preferred but not mandatory
Enthusiasm for working with young children and supporting their learning and development
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Background, CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Ability to maintain a positive, safe, and structured environment
Reliable, punctual, and flexible with scheduling
